Minnesota Transportation Programs

MTM arranges non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) for fee for service Medical Assistance recipients in the Metro Twin City area through a contract with the Metro County Consortium (MCC). MTM provides recipients direct access to their medical appointments at clinics and urgent care facilities in lieu of using costly emergency room services. This metro program is supported by the ten counties served in partnership with MTM. Our goal is to provide appropriate, cost effective, and safe transportation to recipients at all times.

MTM also provides the following services throughout the state:

  • Transportation for Dakota County’s MFIP population, available to covered individuals who need access to employment and training programs with the goal of getting recipients back into the workforce sooner.
  • Transportation for refugee recipients covered by the Minnesota Department of Health who need access to pre-medical screenings and other covered appointments.

To schedule, cancel, or change transportation:

Please call 866-467-1724 with at least three business days’ notice. We also request that you provide at least five days’ notice when renewing your bus pass. MTM schedules and provides routine transportation Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. We also provide after-hours services for hospital discharges and life-sustaining appointments.

You must give a minimum of 3 business day’s notice. Business days do not include weekends, holidays or the day you call in. If a holiday falls on a weekday, you would add a day to the example of days noticed listed above. You can always call in more than 3 days in advance.
