Alaina Macia Named Arch Grants’ 2025 Entrepreneur of the Year
MTM Health is proud to announce that our President and CEO Alaina Macia was honored as the 2025 Entrepreneur of the Year at the prestigious Arch Grants neXus Gala. This annual event brings together St. Louis-area startups, visionaries, and changemakers to celebrate the city’s future and the power of bold, entrepreneurial thinking.
Arch Grants serves as a vital “neXus,” uniting the corporate, civic, and nonprofit communities to drive economic growth and inspire the next generation of business leaders and disruptors. At this year’s gala, the organization also celebrated the 2025 Arch Grants cohort—fearless entrepreneurs committed to building transformative businesses in the St. Louis region.
During the ceremony, Alaina shared a heartfelt reflection on her journey as an entrepreneur. She recalled the moment she received the call about the award, describing a wave of excitement, gratitude, and disbelief. “Who knew all those sleepless nights and tough decisions would eventually lead to me standing here on this stage in front of this amazing business community?” she said.
Alaina’s entrepreneurial story began in 1995, inspired by her parents’ vision to transform healthcare access. She watched them build MTM Health around their kitchen table, fueled by determination and a belief in a better future. In 2003, Alaina took the helm of the company, which then generated $30 million in revenue. She faced a pivotal decision: safeguard her parents’ legacy or reimagine MTM Health for the future. Choosing the latter, she has led the company on a remarkable trajectory.
Today, MTM Health has grown to nearly $2 billion in revenue—a milestone Alaina says she still finds awe-inspiring. Yet for her, the true measure of success is the company’s impact: connecting thousands of people to vital healthcare every day and ensuring no one is left behind. “That’s the legacy I’m proudest of: the team, the culture, and the resilience we’ve built together,” Alaina emphasized.
Looking beyond her own achievements, Alaina also encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to see St. Louis as their launchpad. “You don’t need a perfect plan. You just need the courage to take one bold step,” she said. She reminded the audience that entrepreneurship is rarely a straight line—more often, it’s a roller coaster of challenges and triumphs. But ultimately, it’s about more than building a business; it’s about creating jobs, value, and changing lives.
