Alaina Macia
President & CEO

As the President and CEO of MTM Health and MTM Transit, Alaina is a visionary in the healthcare and transit industries. Alaina is at the helm of one of the St. Louis area’s largest woman-owned and privately-held businesses, and is passionate about leading change. Her vision for ensuring community services, including healthcare, job access, and social services, are accessible without barriers is what continues to drive the companies forward. Since 2005, she has overseen the organizations’ growth from $30 million in annual revenue to $1.8 billion. Today, MTM Health and MTM Transit’s combined staff of 6,000+ employees coordinate more than 35 million trips per year in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

Equally passionate about making a difference long-term, Alaina is leading the transportation industry to be focused on a sustainable future with a reduction in climate impact. She is actively involved in the St. Louis community as a Trustee for Washington University, a member of the Washington University Institute of Public Health National Council, a member of the St. Louis Chapter of YPO, and a member of the St. Louis Regional Business Council. She also serves as a director on the board for Commerce Bank St. Louis, and as an advisor on the Advisory Boards for Stupp Bros. and ISCO. Alaina holds a master’s degree in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis’ Olin School of Business, and her undergraduate degree in Biological Engineering Sciences from the same university.

Alaina has been the recipient of many honors, including being named one of 2012’s Most Influential Businesswomen by the St. Louis Business Journal. She was also named to the publication’s 30 Under 30 class in 2004 and 40 Under 40 class in 2011. In 2014, she was named to Mass Transit Magazine’s 40 Under 40 List and received the Entrepreneur of the Year award in the Midwest Region’s Healthcare Services category by Ernst & Young. In 2018, she was honored to be named to the St. Louis Business Journal’s list of the area’s Technology Executives of the Year, and in 2023, she was named to St. Louis Magazine’s list of Women Who Make St. Louis Great. Most recently, she was honored as Arch Grants’ 2025 Entrepreneur of the Year, and she served as the Chair of the 2025 American Heart Association’s St. Louis Go Red for Women initiative.

Alaina is married to Daniel Maciá. They have two daughters, Arianna and Amara. She is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys playing golf, participating in triathlons, hiking, and rock climbing.
