Melissa Workman Asks “What if Someone I Love Couldn’t Get Treatment?”

Oftentimes, we take for granted basic necessities like transportation, access to medical care, and a supportive community until we face crisis in our own lives. Even our own staff sometimes don’t truly understand the importance of non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) when it doesn’t affect their friends or family members. In this video, our Senior Manager, Training Melissa Workman talks about a personal experience that made her realize just how important transportation can be to someone in need of critical treatment–one that made her ask herself, “what if someone I love couldn’t get the treatment they needed?”
