MTM Health’s 2025 Green Team Achievements: Small Actions, Big Impact
In 2025, MTM Health’s Green Team once again proved that when our employees and communities come together around a shared purpose, real environmental progress follows. From recycling drives to native planting and employee education, this year’s efforts delivered measurable results while deepening our culture of sustainability.
Driving Measurable Environmental Impact
The numbers speak for themselves:
- 700+ pounds of e-waste diverted from local landfills through a successful recycling event in partnership with the Midwest Recycling Center (MRC).
- Two virtual Eco Challenges that mobilized employees nationwide, resulting in:
- 20 personal plastic consumption audits
- Two home water-collection systems installed
- Five community cleanups
- 1,000 minutes of sustainability learning
- 70 advocacy actions
- 50 donations to environmental causes
- At our headquarters in Lake St. Louis, Missouri, we removed two invasive Bradford Pear trees and replaced them with native Chinkapin Oaks while expanding pollinator-friendly landscaping to boost local biodiversity.
- Sustainable procurement took a leap forward: more than $80,000 was spent with Climate Friendly Pledge companies through Amazon Business.
Cultivating Awareness and Engagement
Sustainability at MTM Health isn’t just about metrics—it’s about mindset. Here’s how our Green Team support our employees in their sustainability efforts in 2025:
- More than 50 employees joined our virtual “Monarchs and Mosquitoes” lunch-and-learn with St. Louis-area Green Maven Jean Ponzi, exploring the vital role of native ecosystems.
- A growing internal library now offers curated resources on renewable energy, bird migration, indoor air quality, plastic reduction, and more.
- During Earth Month, employees at our corporate offices received native plant seeds, starter pots, and soil—turning desks and windowsills into mini habitats for pollinators.
- Green Team members mentored a local school through the Green Schools Quest, extending our impact to the next generation of environmental leaders.
- Ongoing recycling programs across MTM Health and our affiliates continue to strengthen day-to-day sustainable operations.
“At MTM Health, we are deeply committed to embedding sustainability into our core mission,” said President and CEO Alaina Macia. “Each year, we facilitate 35 million+ trips nationwide, and with that comes a responsibility to minimize our environmental impact. We are dedicated to pioneering eco-friendly practices, from promoting fuel-efficient vehicles to collaborating with industry partners to drive systemic change. Our vision is clear: to lead the charge in creating a greener, healthier future for our workplace, communities, and our planet.”
Looking Ahead
The Green Team’s work in 2025 reminds us that meaningful change doesn’t require grand gestures—it starts with intentional, collective action. Whether it’s swapping an invasive tree for a native oak, auditing plastic use at home, or simply learning something new about our local ecosystem, every step moves us closer to the healthier planet we all want.
Here’s to even bigger impact in 2026—together.
