Get Ready for DMAS Provider Training!
As part of becoming a DMAS-certified provider, you must complete training sessions with MTM Health. We’re excited to have you join us! Please read the information below before you sign up for your training session.
Important Note: All transportation providers and drivers MUST complete MTM Health’s required training in its entirety before taking Medicaid Fee for Service (FFS) trips. This includes completion of the online PASS Basic training and the required in-person Driver Training for vehicle operators. There will be no exceptions to this rule. This ensures training records are accurate and consistent with MTM Health and DMAS policies.
What to Know Before You Register
What to Bring to Training
- Each participant must fill out the registration form to enroll in training.
- You must register with your own email address that is not shared with any other co-worker or family members.
- Each session has room for 30 people, so sign up early to grab the date you want.
- If the Provider does NOT take any wheelchair trips, they will not need to attend in-person training for PASS certification.
- For any provider that performs wheelchair trips, all drivers will be required to take PASS training.
- All drivers must first complete the online PASS Basic training and have their PASS certification uploaded into MTM Link before attending Driver Training. There will be no exceptions to this requirement.
- If you currently hold a valid PASS Basic and Securement certification, DMAS will honor that certification if it has not expired. That will need to be uploaded into MTM Link.
- If you completed the online PASS Basic training and need your certification, access it through the CTAA Dashboard here: https://lc.ctaa.org/#login
- Sign in with the email used to register. Any completed certifications will be available there to download.
- Drivers will not be permitted to attend the in-person passenger securement training unless their PASS Basic certification has been completed and updated in MTM Link.
- If you drive a stretcher vehicle, you must also take Stretcher Training. Please note, you must complete Driver Training before enrolling in Stretcher Training.
- Transportation providers do not need to attend Driver Training unless they will also be providing transportation as drivers.
- If 30 minutes or more of training at any time is missed, you will need to repeat the training in its entirety.
- More training dates will be shared when they are available.
- Please plan to arrive early. Hotel parking may be limited and fill quickly.
- Parking costs are not covered. Please be prepared to pay for parking if the location you choose has parking fees.
- Breakfast is not included. If you would like to purchase breakfast at the hotel, please speak to the hotel directly.
- A valid driver’s license is required to check in.
- If you are attending Driver Training or Stretcher Training, please bring:
- The vehicle you will use for work (Wheelchair Van and/or Stretcher Van).
- The equipment needed for that vehicle, such as wheelchair securement tools, stretchers, or sideboards.
Enroll in Driver Training
- Before registering for Driver Training, you must complete the online PASS Basic training and ensure your certification has been uploaded into MTM Link.
- Driver Training includes passenger securement instruction and hands-on practice.
- Be ready to join in and participate during training activities.
- Driver Training will be scheduled for 6 hours.
- Bring your own lunch, snacks, and drinks.
