Get Ready for DMAS Provider Training!
As part of becoming a DMAS-certified provider, you must complete training sessions with MTM Health. We’re excited to have you join us! Please read the information below before you sign up for your training session.
Important Note: All transportation providers and drivers MUST complete MTM Health’s training in its entirety in order to take Medicaid Fee for Service (FFS) trips. There will be no exceptions to this rule. This is to ensure that the accuracy of records and training have been met and are consistent with MTM Health and DMAS policies.
What to Know Before You Register
What to Bring to Training
- Each participant must fill out the registration form to enroll in training.
- You must register with your own email address that is not shared with any other co-worker or family members.
- Each session has room for 30 people, so sign up early to grab the date you want.
- Choose the training type that fits your role:
- Provider Training is only for owners and/or staff at the transportation provider’s office
- Driver Training, which includes PASS Training, is for vehicle operators.
- If you drive a stretcher vehicle, you must also take Stretcher Training. Please note, you must also complete Driver/PASS Training before enrolling in Stretcher Training. If you are currently certified through NEMTAC, your PASS certification is valid. Please bring a copy of your certification for verification.
- If you are both a provider and a driver, you will need to attend both training courses.
- If 30 minutes or more of training at anytime is missed, you will need to repeat the training in its entirety. We are unable to ‘split’ classroom days.
- More training dates will be shared when they are available.
- Please plan to arrive early. Hotel parking may be limited and fill quickly.
Parking costs are not covered. Please be prepared to pay for parking if the location you choose has parking fees.
Breakfast is not included. If you would like to purchase breakfast at the hotel, please speak to the hotel directly.
- A valid driver’s license to check-in.
- A copy of your NEMTAC PASS Certification if you are certified through NEMTAC.
- A smart phone, tablet, or laptop to complete your PASS certification for all Driver Training. Vehicles and personal devices will be utilized on the second day of training.
- If you are coming to PASS or Stretcher Training, please bring:
- The vehicle you will use for work (Wheelchair Van and/or Stretcher Van).
- The equipment needed for that vehicle, such as wheelchair securement tools, stretchers, or sideboards.

- Driver Training lasts about one and a half to two days.
- If you also enroll in Stretcher Training, plan for one more half day.
- Be ready to join in and practice during training.
- Bring your own lunch, snacks, and drinks.
