New Caregiver Feature Now Available in MTM Link
At MTM Health, we’re always striving to make managing non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) easier and more convenient for the clients and members we serve. Our latest innovation? A brand-new feature in the MTM Link Member mobile app and online Member Portal that lets eligible parents and caregivers manage rides for up to five dependents all from a single MTM Link account. No more switching between multiple logins; everything families need is now in one place.
Many families rely on MTM Link to schedule rides to important medical appointments without calling MTM Health. Before, a parent managing rides for their child—or children—had to log in and out of separate accounts. Now, with the new caregiver functionality, users can:
- View all scheduled rides for the main account holder and their dependents
- Schedule new rides
- Edit, rebook, or cancel rides
- Use “Where’s My Ride?” to track drivers
- Claim gas mileage reimbursement
- Use “I’m Ready” for will-call trips
All of this is available with just a few taps.
Who Can Use Caregiver Mode?
To keep things safe and simple, here are the basic requirements:
- The caregiver must be 18 years or older
- Each dependent must be under 18 years old
- The caregiver and their dependent(s) must be eligible for services through the same health plan
- None of the linked accounts can be marked as high risk for fraud
Please note, caregiver functionality is only available to members of health plans that have upgraded to the newest version of MTM Link.
How to Add a Dependent (It’s Easy!)
If you’re a caregiver ready to add dependents to your account, just follow these simple steps:
- Open the MTM Link Member mobile app or log into the Member Portal.
- Tap the menu (three lines) in the top left.
- Tap your name under Profile.
- Tap People, then tap Add Dependent.
- Enter the required information: your relationship to the member, their first and last name, date of birth, medical ID number, and zip code.
- Tap Add Dependent.
Once approved, your dependent will appear on your home screen under Members. You can quickly switch between profiles or view rides for all members at once.
