Who is Eligible to Use Lyft Flex?

Lyft Flex could be the right fit if you:

  • Have a smartphone with SMS enabled
  • Can get to and from a vehicle without assistance
  • Do not travel with a large mobility device, such as a motorized scooter

How Does it Work?

Scheduling a Ride
Schedule your ride with MTM Health. You can request a ride by calling MTM Health, or by using the MTM Link Member Portal or mobile app. MTM Health will schedule your Lyft Flex ride for you.

Getting to the Appointment
You will receive a text with your ride details.

Heading Home
When you’re ready to go home, request your return ride using the link texted to you.

Tips for a Smooth Ride

Be Ready
A Lyft Flex driver should arrive promptly after your ride is requested. The driver will wait for five minutes after they arrive at the pickup location.

Contact the Driver
If you have trouble finding your ride, you can call or text the driver directly to coordinate.

Check Your Ride
Check that the license plate, car model, and driver name match the details in your text message.

Call MTM Health if you miss your ride. To find the phone number to call for your health plan, visit www.memberportal.net and follow the prompts.

Lyft Flex will match you with the closest available driver when your ride is requested. You could end up with the same driver bringing you to and from an appointment, but they will usually be different drivers.

Lyft Flex will text you when the ride is set up. When you are ready to request your ride, click the link in your text message, then tap ‘Request now.’ If you can’t click the link for any reason, call 1-800-836-LYFT (5938).

Lyft Flex will text you when the driver is on their way. The text message with the driver’s information will include a link to track the ride.

Yes. You will receive a reminder one hour before a Scheduled ride. For rides requested at least a day in advance, you will receive a reminder at 7 p.m. the night before the ride is available. If you also have a Scheduled ride the next day, those details will be in the reminder.

When you are matched with a driver, you will receive a text message. This message will include a phone number you can use to call the driver.

Yes! If you use the Lyft app, you can enable Women+ Connect. This is an account setting that increases the likelihood that women and nonbinary drivers will be matched with nearby women and nonbinary riders. When no women or nonbinary drivers are available, riders with the feature enabled will be matched with men.
