Aloha from Honolulu! MTM recently launched our newest On the Move program in Honolulu, Hawaii, where we’ve partnered with the Department of Transportation Services to conduct eligibility assessments for TheHandi-Van ADA paratransit service.
Through our On the Move travel training program, MTM strives to teach seniors and individuals with disabilities how to independently use the public transit system to help improve their connection to the community. Our travel training initiative in Dakota County, Minnesota was recently featured in a local media outlet.
Following a short transition timeframe of just 10 days, MTM has successfully gone live with paratransit eligibility certification and fixed route travel training services for Valley Metro in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
The leadership team for MTM’s On the Move program, which provides high quality management of functional assessment and travel training services, is expanding with the hiring of Michael Davis in the role of Director of Functional Assessments and Travel Training (East).
Our travel training team has partnered with Dakota County, Minnesota to develop the GoDakota Travel Training program, which helps local residents learn to travel independently.
MTM is pleased to announce that we have entered into a contract with the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) to operate its Mobility Certification Program for paratransit service, with goals of reducing the eligibility determination timeframe, decreasing no shows, and appropriately managing the re-certification process.
