Following four years of successful partnership, MTM is excited to announce that we are retaining operation of our statewide NEMT program in Nevada! Since 2016, MTM has provided consistent, prompt, and efficient NEMT services to Medicaid recipients throughout the state. Nationwide, transit agencies struggle with maintaining fixed bus routes due to low ridership levels. In partnership with MTM Transit, the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County combatted this issue with the introduction of FlexRIDE, a microtransit system that replaced the inefficient routes with on-demand service using minibus vehicles. The result? Higher passenger satisfaction and tripled ridership levels, while maintaining the same cost per passenger experienced on the previous fixed routes. MTM Transit always looks for ways to enhance the services we provide to passengers. This fall, we’re launching two new initiatives that will give Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) passengers in the greater Washoe County area of Nevada increased access to their community: FlexRIDE microtransit service and the RTC Access passenger mobile app.
MTM’s Nevada team participated in the Project Homeless Connect event sponsored by the Nevada Homeless Alliance, which connects the local homeless population to helpful resources.

MTM built a new customer service center, recruited 71 employees and 28 standard NEMT transportation providers, and visited 67 medical facilities to ensure the success of our new NET program in Nevada.
