What are VeyoRide Drivers?

VeyoRide drivers are gig drivers who own their own vehicle and want to make a difference in their community while earning some extra cash. VeyoRide drivers provide non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services for Medicaid and Medicare members. Put simply, drivers help people who don’t have their own vehicle get to and from their doctors’ appointments. This could be routine appointments like annual check-ups, or important life-saving treatments like dialysis and chemotherapy.

VeyoRide drivers are recruited through our affiliate company Veyo.

Why Drive for MTM?

When rideshare drivers and gig drivers drive for VeyoRide, they notice the difference immediately. Here are the benefits you can expect:

  • Avoid late night trips. Most trips take place between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m. That means no more rowdy bar crowds like you get through other driving gigs.
  • Earn more. We don’t take commissions or fees out of your earnings. You keep it all.
  • Work when you want. You can drive full-time or part-time, between classes, or when your kids are in school.
  • Make a difference. Help us improve transportation options for Medicaid and Medicare members, one trip at a time.

How Much Will I Make as a VeyoRide Driver?

Our credentialing processes may take a bit longer that other rideshare options, but you have the ability to earn more when you drive for VeyoRide. How much you earn will depend on how often you drive. Most drivers earn between $15 and $25 per hour. Rates depend on the length of the trip. We also offer surge rates during peak periods, meaning you can earn more during busy times. We send out emails and text notifications when surge rates are in place, giving you a chance to sign on, drive, and earn more per mile. We also don’t take any fees out of your rates. What you earn is what you keep.

Just remember that your passengers aren’t expected to tip you when their trip is done. That’s why we pay you a higher per mile rate than other rideshare companies.

What Would My Schedule Look Like as a VeyoRide Driver?

Your schedule can be whatever you make it! You can drive all day, every day; you can drive just a few days a week; or you can drive for just a few hours in the afternoon/early evening after you finish another job. Using the driver app, you can set your hours of availability. Trips will only be assigned to you during those hours. When you drive for VeyoRide, it’s truly flexible!

What if My Passenger Needs Help?

Almost all of your passengers will be going to medical appointments—but they aren’t emergency cases. You don’t need to be an EMT or have medical training. The passengers you drive may have a wheelchair or carry equipment like an oxygen tank, but they are able to navigate on their own. Sometimes, they may just need a bit more help from you. This may include offering a helping hand as they enter or exit your vehicle, like you would for your parent or grandparent.
