Giving Voice to our NEMT Members

The best healthcare in the world can’t help you if you have no way to get there. That’s the thinking behind MTM’s nationwide non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) operations as we strive to remove community barriers and connect members to the care they need to stay happy and healthy.

Every year, nearly four million Americans miss or delay medical care because they lack access to safe, reliable transportation. While NEMT accounts for under 1% of healthcare spending, consistent transportation access to healthcare vastly enhances the health outcomes of members and leads to dramatic cost savings. Our goal is to bridge that transportation gap to help prevent missed medical appointments, decrease the impact of chronic disease, reduce the costs of inpatient medical treatment, and save substantial healthcare funding.
