Happy Holidays from MTM
Message from Alaina
The holidays are now in full swing, and amidst the hustle and bustle of the last-minute shopping and final preparations, the excitement and joy surrounding this special time of year is undeniably contagious. Music, festivities, food, and more bring people closer together and remind us of the many blessings in our lives. Remember to slow down, rejoice, and take time to appreciate the traditions, celebrations, and friends and family that surround you.
Since this is the season for giving, I thought it an appropriate time to share with you just a few of the ways MTM’s employees have come together over the past year to give to those in need. Like the contagious excitement surrounding the holiday season, helping those in need can be equally infectious and exhilarating.
- Each year, MTM partners with the American Red Cross to host quarterly blood drives. In 2011, MTM employees donated 78 units of blood, enough to save 234 lives! We have already scheduled four drives for 2012 and are proud to do our part to support this organization’s valuable work.
- After the devastating tornados in Joplin last May, MTM employees came together to support their fellow Missourians. Staff collected cash donations for the United Way and gathered and delivered a truck-load of food, clothing, and household items to assist with relief efforts.
- MTM collects non-perishable food, health items, and beauty aids each year to be donated to the local food pantry.
- Through a local Adopt-a-Hospital program, we are collecting and delivering toys and other items to children in the St. Louis Children’s Hospital who are unable to be at home for the holiday.
As 2011 draws to a close, I am very proud of, and encouraged by, the commitment our employees have made to help those who are less fortunate. I am also thankful for another great year of working with such committed clients, transportation providers, and staff. I look forward to new and exciting opportunities in 2012 and hope that the New Year brings you health, happiness, and prosperity. From my family to yours, and on behalf of all of us here at MTM, I would like to wish you and your family many blessings and the very best for the holiday season.

Press Release: MTM to Develop Transit Training Program in Kansas City
Medical Transportation Management, Inc. (MTM) announced that it was awarded a contract by the Kansas City Area Transit Authority (KCATA) to develop a transit training program and provide training services to area residents in order to promote access and utilization of the city's public transportation system. MTM will begin providing services under this two year contract on January 9th, 2012.

Press Release: MTM to Provide Travel Training Services in Virginia
Medical Transportation Management, Inc. (MTM) announced that it was awarded a contract by the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC) in Virginia to design and implement a travel training program beginning January 3rd, 2012. With funding made available from a New Freedom Grant awarded to the Prince William County Area Agency on Aging, the new travel training program will educate local clients on available public transit resources and provide instruction on how to use them.
