We use the information to determine coverage requirements, coordinate transportation services, provide the appropriate services, and optimize costs. We have invested in a highly trained technology department responsible for identifying and delivering business information and business systems solutions.
BSG develops smart business tools such as management reports, data and information analysis, and business process improvements. This group works with our clients to provide information services requested by our clients, transportation providers and other partners or subcontractors. BSG coordinates the production, data processing, and reporting for clients and MTM staff, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), system enhancements, data analysis, and HIPAA compliance related to data transmission.
BSG administrates MTM’s customized non-emergency transportation software system. This rules-based system automates virtually every aspect of our management program ensuring the lowest cost program available. It is geographical information systems (GIS) based and is capable of assigning a trip rate based on actual mileage and MTM’s statewide or negotiated rate per mile by mode. Because it is GIS based, MTM can load all fixed bus stops into our system to facilitate the booking of public transit for regions with access to public transportation. This GIS data is from ESRI and the map data is from GDT, both industry leaders.
