Alaina Maciá, CEO
As MTM’s President and CEO, Alaina provides executive management of operations, technology, finance, accounting, legal and marketing activities. She designates individual responsibilities and management through the executive team, department directors and managers. Ms. Maciá is the executive liaison for all contractual and operational matters. She ensures all contract deliverables are met and in the required timeframes. She is the individual designated within MTM who is officially authorized to negotiate for and contractually bind the company in pursuit of all contracts.
Alaina has taken MTM and the non-emergency transportation business to a new level by focusing on strategic planning, proven management processes, and continued business improvement. She provided consulting expertise to MTM on a project basis prior to joining as staff. In the time she’s been officially on board with the company, Alaina has secured additional revenue through major contracts, redefined MTM’s marketing strategy and image, centralized silo-ed operations, enhanced focus on optimization through technology, and furthered MTM’s culture of striving to exceed customer expectations. She holds superior customer service and quick response time to any issues as high priorities. She cultivates this passion at all levels throughout MTM.
Ms. Macia has been the Executive leader for such project implementations as Minnesota, Orange County, New York, Arkansas, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and the District of Columbia programs.
She has over eight years of experience in project development and assessment. She demonstrated her ability early as a successful leader following the completion of her MBA working in the Executive Development Program of Maritz, Inc., one of the 150 largest private companies in the United States, with revenues in excess of $1 billion dollars annually. In 1994, she began work as a Research Engineer at the Washington University Medical School. There, she programmed and utilized robotics to develop radiopharmaceuticals for clinical cancer studies and treatment. She possesses an aptitude for project management, technical enhancements, financial acumen, and operational expertise. She continually exceeds expectations, and MTM’s clients repeatedly list her skills and customer service as “Excellent” in performance reviews.
Ms. Maciá holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering with an emphasis in corporate strategy and finance, and a Master of Science in business administration from the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Alaina was accepted into the full-time MBA program as one of the youngest members of her class due to her exceptional background and ability. Alaina graduated from the MBA program in the top 10% of the program. In 2004, Alaina received the esteemed “30 Under 30” award sponsored by the St. Louis Business Journal.
Ms. Maciá provides key leadership for this woman-owned and family-operated corporation. As the daughter to MTM founders, Peg and Lynn Griswold, she learned the family business at close range. She heard the conversations, saw the challenges and watched her parents’ business grow. Her education, experiences and proven skills prior to joining MTM added to her strength as the company’s leader. She has been a pivotal member of MTM’s executive team since 2003 and assumed the reins as MTM’s President and CEO in 2005.
